AS-2500 hydraulic metal shear is designed to cut long, bulky scrap metal into smaller, manageable pieces. With a maximum shearing force of 2,500 kN, a 1,000 mm blade, and a maximum blade opening of 480 mm, it handles steel bars, angle iron, channel steel, and other structural metal scrap.

How does it work?
- Hydraulic hold-down first presses down to secure the scrap metal, then the cutting blade moves down to shear it. After cutting, the blade retracts and the hold-down releases, ready for the next cycle.
- In automatic mode, AS-2500 repeats this cutting sequence continuously. In single-cycle mode, it completes one full press-cut-return cycle at a time.
This no-load test demonstrates the smooth, coordinated movement of both mechanisms.
